merlinian: (okay that's kinda gross)

[milliways-ish; for Steve Rogers]

You can't control your magic if you won't control yourself.

Balthazar never mentioned the lack of control that comes with normal human things, like the common cold.

"Drink this."

His master had set a steaming mug of something in front of Dave about half an hour ago. It smells sour and unpleasant and he's sure it would sting his nostrils if he could inhale through them, and for that reason, it remains untouched. Every so often, he casts a wary glance its way, but nothing more.

And then he sneezes.

And the mug explodes, the liquid dribbling out over the remains and onto the coffee table.

Up to this point, being sick wasn't so bad. His sniffling caused an unpleasant buildup of static electricity that let itself loose on anyone that came within a foot of him, but that was fine because he was home. And now he's not, because Balthazar insisted they take a trip here to get "the drink that will cure you immediately."

Forgive Dave for being skeptical.

He burrows a little deeper into his blanket and sighs stuffily.

And sneezes again.

Sorry, whoever's glass that was.
